Happy Samoan Flag Day!

July 23 is Samoan Flag Day. With July 24 being Pioneer day, and Samoa being a smaller, seldom well known but beautiful asset to the United States, many people probably don't even know that July 23 is Flag day in Samoa. Well it is! So here's to Samoa! Anyone want to go visit?

Talofa Jeff and Ashleigh!
While I appreciate your efforts in promoting and spreading awareness on the American Samoa "Flag Day", I feel it is important that you also learn the difference between the samoas and correct the image that is above your statement.
You see, there are two separate political
samoan entities. The image you have with the LDS temple in the background is that of the independent nation of Samoa.
American Samoa "Flag Day" is celebrated in the Territory of American Samoa, just a quick ferry ride to the east of Samoa. American Samoa is an unorganized unincorporated territory of the United States of America, because of this we American Samoans enjoy everything you and ordinary citizens enjoy except the "american citizenship status" and the ability to vote in domestic elections.
Good luck with you and yours, have a blessed and safe week.

Soifua. Thank you for the insight. I just thought the picture was pretty. Sounds ignorant, I know. I didn't realize there were two separate Samoan entities. I'd be happy to post a more accurate picture if you could point me in the right direction to find one.
